Pattaya lies on the East Coast of the Gulf of Thailand, approximately 140 kilometres from Bangkok. This resort city is divided into four major zones: North Pattaya, Central Pattaya, South Pattaya and Jomtien.
Pattaya has three major roads running parallel to each other. Beach Road runs along the beachfront one-way from north to south. Pattaya 2 Road is about 100 meters away, partly one-way south to north and partly two-way. Sukhumvit Road is a continuation of the main highway from Bangkok. The major roads are linked by narrow lanes. Pattaya 2 Road continues through South Pattaya, over the headland where the Royal Cliff Hotels Group and PEACH are located, and onto Jomtien Beach.
On the other side of Sukhumvit Road are several country clubs, golf courses and typical rural villages, as well as the railway from Bangkok. Pattaya's public transport is provided by renovates pickup trucks, known as "song taew" with 2 rows of seats in the back for 8-10 passengers. If not occupied, they can also be hired as private taxis. Alternatively, air-conditioned taxis are everywhere and easy to hail.
The Royal Wing Suites & Spa is situated on a tropical mountainside offering a breathtaking ocean view of the Gulf of Thailand. The location offers travelers the best of both worlds as the hotel sits on an exclusive estate providing the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere whilst only a few minutes away from the bustling city centre of Pattaya and the beautiful Jomtien beach.
Pattaya is a pleasant 90-minute drive from Bangkok along the Bangkok Na-Trat Highway or Bangkok-Cholburi Motorway. The Royal Cliff Hotels Group is located on the headland at the southern end of Pattaya Bay.
